About Christian and Sara
Chrristian and Sara met each other serving on the mission field in Kona, HI. Since that time, they continued their friendhip and both eventually came to the Square Church in Smyrna, Ga. Christian was serving on staff with the School of Biblical Studies and Sara enrolled and participated as a student. This nine month deeply intensive study of the entire bible gave them an opportunity to learn about each other and grow in their relationship.
On July 18, 2025, they became husband and wife in a beautiful ceremony with many family and friends from all over.
They moved to Kona, HI in September to staff the YWAM Fire and Fragrance Discipleship Training School. Like all missionaries, their financial needs come from donors. If you feel called to contribute to their mission, please see the link below to make a tax deductible donation.

Mission Statement
Our mission is simple, to see God transform people and to see them sent out and transform the world. We believe that a personal relationship with Jesus should supersede all other desires. We wish to bring others into that realization so that they may flourish with their own creative giftings. Much love, Christian and Sara Winter

Freedom unto Outreach
We are so grateful for the doors that the Lord has opened for us in this season. Grateful to be here in Kona working with our friends again, grateful for the ways God has provided for us already in this season, grateful we are going to Cyprus, grateful for our students and how Jesus is changing their lives each week, and grateful that Jesus is revealing Himself to us in new ways!
Gods Curveball
We left our time with friends and these 2 beautiful countries feeling alive and full of new dreams. It was so exciting for me (Sara) to see Christian come alive and dream about young people all over the world having their lives transformed by Jesus.
Stones of Remembrance
Now in the New Covenant, we are living stones of remembrance being used to build the house of God (1 Peter 2:5).
Full Freedom
Things that many people would say need years to heal or significant time addressing began to fall away. Stains that old insecurities left behind were washed away. I began drawing near to Jesus and His holiness cloaked me.
Hard Landing
Have you ever waited for something patiently? Perhaps it's less spiritual and could be a promised Christmas gift. Was the waiting and the sacrifice worth it? What kind of fruit have you seen from it?
Fruit Grows in the Valley
Most of the ministry was street evangelism and house to house visits. I made it to the first 3 days of ministry and then went out of commission. I wasn't happy. I came to see the kingdom of God advance, not stare at the back of my eyelids all day.
The Fields are Ripe
The Send is a collaborative missions movement whose main goal is to send laborers into the harvest. YWAM is one of the advocates for The Send so one month of our outreach was spent in Orlando serving The Send and also following up by pouring into Orlando, Florida (where The Send was held) for three weeks afterward.
God Above All
Now time for my favorite ministry, uber ministry! I spent a lot of time riding around on the Asian version of Uber (its called Grab). I took a couple of rides which could last anywhere from and hour to two hours depending on traffic.
Joy in the Midst of Sickness
Ciara and my outreach team was somewhere between exhausted and bright-eyed and excited as we boarded the plane early in the morning on December 17. We were traveling with our new 88 best friends that we had the privilege of serving alongside of for the next 2 months.
